My name is Larry Curtis and I am the Managing Partner of Coastal Carolina Mortgage, LLC. I work closely my clients to provide the financing they need to purchase or refinance their home. I wanted to put together a mortgage company unlike the vast majority of others in this area. Before you choose to work with Coastal Carolina Mortgage, you may want to know a little more about who you will be dealing with.
I retired from a career as a navy commander in 1988. During my time on active duty I flew P-3C aircraft, I worked in the Pentagon with the Defense Intelligence Agency, and I served over nine years overseas in various assignments, including three very interesting years as the United States Naval Attaché to Yugoslavia and Romania in the mid 1980s. During that time I met and worked closely with people from all over the world. I also moved over 25 times during my naval career so I know what it means when you pick-up and resettle. After I retired from the Navy I chose to become a Realtor in the Northern Virginia area. I did that for about four years but the financing side of the business always appealed to me, so, in 1992 I made the move into the mortgage industry and have been doing that ever since – in roles ranging from loan officer to Chief Operating Officer of a large multi-state company.
After living in Virginia for over 25 years my wife and I decided we needed a change from the traffic, cost of living, and crowding of the Washington, D.C. suburbs and we began to look for a place with a more relaxed pace of life – and we found it in Wilmington. We moved here in the summer of 2005 and I opened Coastal Carolina Mortgage with two partners.
